Kristen Rowland

My connection with skin, beauty and wellness began at an early age. Starting as a professional ballerina at 15 and then being immersed in the LA entertainment industry for 20 years, I toured Japan singing with a band and even appeared on Jay Leno. During that time I found harmony and luxurious treatments for my skin and body at the spa. When I decided to leave the entertainment industry behind me I began working at the renowned wellness spa, Ruby Room. That allowed me to dive deep into my passion for healing and wellness and I followed my intuition toward a more balanced life. This led me to The University of Aesthetics, where I earned my degree in Esthetics and became a licensed Esthetician.

After moving back to California and becoming a mother of two, I reconnected with family friends, Lauren Conn and her grandfather, Dr. Alkaitis and joined the family business as the Southern California Representative and Educator for the Dr. Alkaitis Holistic Organic Skin Food line. At the same time I launched my esthetician career in Los Angeles starting at Lula Mini Spa, which interestingly, was in the same space Opalino now occupies. I went on to Beverly Hot Springs and Le Pink. Taking advantage of the downtime imposed by the pandemic, I sought advanced certification from the National Coalition of Estheticians Association, the highest esthetician credential in the U.S and multiple advanced certifications. As we came out of the pandemic I decided to embark on my own path and opened Opalino, which is a homage to my Italian grandmother.

I believe in products that are formulated with nature and expertise and heal the skin from the inside out. I work intuitively with clients to find the root of their skin care issues and help create balance. With attention to detail and an affinity for holistic and medical aesthetics, my focus is on results-driven treatments that will leave you dreaming about your next appointment.
